Originally from rural Saskatchewan, Paul obtained degrees from the University of Regina and the University of Victoria before attending law school in Ontario. In addition, he has completed Part A of the CPA In-Depth Tax Course and the Strata Management Licensing Course through The University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business.

Paul articled with a major law firm in Kelowna before moving to Victoria where he has worked with a local law firm primarily in the area of real estate development. His practice includes the areas of wills and estates, real estate and corporate/commercial transactions.
